As the laser works by selectively targeting the effective area with a photothermal reaction, you will feel an immediate heating on the area being treated. However typically, there is less than five pulses with the laser, so the sting is short and relatively painless with minimal discomfort. Some heat may be felt in the skin for a short period after the treatment, but this generally subsides within a couple of hours.
