Scarring and Stretch Marks
A scar forms as part of the natural healing process following an injury to the skin. When your skin is damaged it repairs by forming collagen fibres around this injury which sometimes results in scarring.
Treatment of scars will depend on the type of scar. Typically the severity of a scar is directly related to the severity of the injury and the faster a wound heals the less noticeable the scar will be.
At Skindevour we can help with scars characterized by the loss of tissue known as atrophic scars. These include acne scars, stretch marks, chicken pox scars or scars formed from mole removal.
Don’t be discouraged by scarring – not all scars are permanent and you don’t have to have permanent markings on your skin. We have a range of treatments that can help improve and reduce the appearance of scars.
